We have signed a contract for the construction of a new exhibition hall

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, we formalized one of the most significant construction projects in Prague in recent years. Prague Congress Centre signed a contract with the construction company GEMO a.s. for the development of a new exhibition hall and the associated renovation of parking facilities.
The contract was signed on behalf of GEMO by Chairman of the Board, Ing. Jaromír Uhýrek. Representing the Prague Congress Centre were Chairwoman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer Ing. Lenka Žlebková, MBA, and Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Financial Officer Ing. Petr Dukát.
This moment represents far more than a formal milestone. The tender process for the contractor was completed back in January 2023; however, the project was subsequently delayed due to changes in the shareholder structure. Last year, the Capital City of Prague became the sole shareholder of the Prague Congress Centre. Throughout this period, GEMO consistently reaffirmed its commitment to the project, and together we worked to find a path forward.
Today, following a period of stabilization and the return of market demand, we are moving into the next phase – preparing for construction. In recent years, the Prague Congress Centre has successfully re-established a strong position in the international market and built on growing business performance. A key milestone was the change in shareholder structure – since July 2025, the Capital City of Prague has been the sole shareholder, enabling further development of strategic projects.
The new hall will significantly expand the capacity of the Prague Congress Centre, adding more than 5,000 square meters of exhibition space. This will allow us to host even larger international events and further strengthen our role as a key player in the congress industry both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
We look forward to every upcoming milestone, including the start of construction, bringing us closer to the completion of this exceptional project.
