Responsible Construction
We are building the New Exhibition Hall at the Prague Congress Centre – one of the most significant development projects in the history of our venue. The new building will expand the Centre's capacity to host international congresses, conferences, exhibitions, cultural and social events while seamlessly integrating with the existing facilities.
The Hall will offer 5 000 m2 of net exhibition space, which can be flexibly divided into up to five independent sections. Upon completion, the Prague Congress Centre's total exhibition space will exceed 21 000 m2.
The New Exhibition Hall project originated from an international open architectural and urban design competition, which attracted 70 proposals. The winning design, created by the Spanish studio OCA Architects, impressed the jury with its architectural quality, sensitive integration into the Prague Congress Centre complex and strong emphasis on high-quality public space.
The project was also refined based on public feedback collected during a public consultation organised by the Prague Institute of Planning and Development (IPR Prague).
Construction is taking place while the Prague Congress Centre remains fully operational. Our goal is to minimise the impact of the construction works on visitors, local residents, transport and the environment. On this page, we regularly publish updates on construction progress, planned works and any temporary restrictions. Construction Site and Surroundings
The modernisation of the parking facilities is being coordinated with the construction of the New Exhibition Hall and, together with the revitalisation of Pankrác Square, forms part of the comprehensive redevelopment of the entire Prague Congress Centre complex.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The Prague Congress Centre will remain fully operational throughout the construction of the New Exhibition Hall. All scheduled congresses, conferences, cultural events and social functions will take place as planned. The construction works are carefully managed to minimise any impact on visitors, event organisers and the overall event experience.
Due to the construction of the New Exhibition Hall and the ongoing South Garage revitalisation, parking capacity at the Prague Congress Centre is temporarily reduced. In addition, the P+R car park has been closed since 7 May 2026.
Current parking availability and any traffic restrictions are shown on the site map. We also recommend using public transport – Vyšehrad metro station (Line C) is located directly next to the Prague Congress Centre.

The construction of the New Exhibition Hall represents an investment of approximately CZK 1.35 billion. The majority of the project costs, around CZK 1.2 billion, are financed by the Prague Congress Centre from its own resources. The City of Prague, as the company's sole shareholder, is contributing CZK 150 million towards the construction.
